I was introduced to The Bars about eight years ago and I really liked them, so I have seen them quite a few times.  It had been a couple of years since I had caught their act, and friends called to say they were going to be in ManchVegas.  Road Trip!

We rounded up the gang and headed to the Spyder Room.  As we walked in and found our seats, the band  was playing ‘Rebel Yell’.  We were bummed when we found out it was only sound check.  When they finished, the band dispersed among the crowd, greeting their loyal friends and fans – and I do mean loyal.  Their groupies are like postal workers – no snowstorm, hurricane, or flood could stop them from seeing The Bars.

This band really cares about its fans, and it’s evident in the way they take the time to say hi to every single one of them.  Since I have last seen them, they have changed their set a bit to appeal to the different musical tastes out there.  Their sets used to be more on the heavy side, and while they still do that, they have added some awesome classic tunes.  I was truly blown away on the first set.  I actually said to myself  ‘I almost forgot how awesome these guys are…’ and was so glad I got out to see them again.

The band played just about everything: Van Halen, Aerosmith, Allman Bros., Poison, Nickelback…and so much more.  I was on the dance floor a lot, that is if I could find a spot.  The cool thing about seeing this band is that when you walk into wherever they are playing, you become instant friends with everyone.

A lot of shirts bearing the band’s name can be seen at their shows with the now famous ‘Attitude Check’ logo on the back.  You’ll have to catch a show to see what this is all about.  The band has been around each other for quite some time, and you can tell when you watch them play together.
